Boat Access
TBL operate a boat access system utilising 'Porta-botes' highly acclaimed folding boats for confined space, investigation, repair and inspection purposes. Boat access is predominantly used for aiding Structural Engineers in bridge structural surveys, monitoring, and carrying out minor repairs where pontoons or full scaffolding is cost prohibitive.
From the one-man portable 8' through to the incredibly stable 14' (4.28m) suitable for open-water, rivers and coastal areas - the 14' is a five-seater of 367kg total load capacity, 1.52m wide when erected, yet folds to 60cm wide to be carried cross-country or access diagonally through culvert/sewer manhole covers. Anti-static, it can be winched in large diameter sewers/culverts, and in open air either rowed or a lightweight 2-stroke 5hp motor that will run happily all day.
The boats are incredibly stable (even for sea use) as the hulls flex absorbing wave energy, and are imported from America where approved by US Coastguard - obviously NMMA & EU approved.
TBL are both RYA Powerboat/Rescue boat and RYA first-aid trained, with client Engineers/passengers Induction trained and supplied with 175N automatic lifejackets and PPE. Global positioning with Map-Source Bluechart mapping available.
