Retaining Walls

Duckbill mechanical ground anchors, Supplied by Anchor Systems (Europe) Ltd, provide immediate effective stabilisation to retaining walls, including traditional masonry retaining or boundary walls, lock and canal walls, bridge abutments, tunnel linings, sheet piles and gabion baskets. Leaning or bowing retaining walls can be restrained by anchoring them back into the retained earth behind, with proof loads of up to 300kN on a single anchor, in the correct ground conditions, being achievable. On-site proof testing is undertaken to ensure installed anchors meet the specified requirements. The rapid installation procedure minimises disruption and make Duckbill ground anchors a cost effective alternative to localised or complete re-build. Ground anchors are available in a range of sizes and offer a choice of termination plates. The Combi-Tec system provides a fully concealed top termination option, which is ideal for historic and listed structures (English Heritage approved) or applications where aesthetic repairs are important.
