Critically, they more than meet the requirements of proposed changes in building control regulations, and do not require wet trade finishing, so labour costs are lower and build time is faster - up to three times quicker to install than a conventional base and can be put down in almost any weather. It is completely modular, needs no wet mixing and the resulting floor has far better heat retention than concrete. Environmentally, its beams and fittings include recycled plastics, it uses less mineral resources, creates less landfill and its usual one-day completion can bring significant vehicle fuel savings.
